The 2nd Canadian National Specialty....

When was it?

Thursday, October 16th, 2008 to Sunday, October 19th, 2008.

Where was it?

Ingersoll, Flamborough, and Tillsonburg, Ontario

Why did we do it?

There's no better way to showcase the versatility and beauty of our wonderful breed than a National Specialty, and Ontario was pleased to be the host for the 2nd CNASA National Specialty

What was it?

Four Herding Trials (2 Sheep - 2 Ducks)

Two Agility Trials

Seven Obedience Trials (6 All Breed ~ 1 Aussies only)

Four sets of Conformation points (3 All Breed - 1 Specialty)

And we were proud and honoured to dedicate this National to the memory of Virginia (Gin) Cummings...

For those of you who didn't know Gin .....

Gin will be sadly missed by all who met her.  She was a sincere and warm person who made others feel special even in a first meeting.

She had a deep love for the sport of obedience, both as a judge and as a competitor; in addition, she was a dedicated member of the CKC Obedience Council.

Aussies bred by Gin carried the Kennel name Heyday and were generally titled on both ends of their names. You could find them out playing in the Group ring in conformation, winning Obedience High In Trials, or working, either in the tracking harness or in the stock pen, rain or shine.

Gin certainly knew how to have a 'hey day’ with her dogs, no matter what the sport.

It's going to be an Aussie-some four days - so mark your calendars and make your plans to come and join us for this celebration of the best darn breed of dogs that ever was!!!

Ontario is looking forward to putting out the Welcome mat for all you Aussie people...
